Where is there sun right now? SunMap is a free map of bars, cafés and restaurants with outdoor
seating, showing which of them have sun on the tables at this moment and how long the sun stays
before the buildings take it. Turn on “sun only”, drag the time slider to when you will actually
sit down, and see which sunny spots are still sunny when you arrive — an utepils without sun is
not really an utepils.
Sun and shade are calculated from the real height and shape of the surrounding buildings, cast
onto the actual outdoor seating — the pavement terrace, the courtyard, the quayside — combined
with live cloud cover for that neighbourhood. Around 30 cities, including Oslo, Bergen,
